New besweet commands result in audio clucks?

I am referring to 1.07 build 4 and up. And I mean for me, it's obvious others don't seem to have had troubles.

I encoded 2 (Region 4) DVDs using 1.07 build 4 and have deleted the log files, etc. But I notice at the start of both films there is a "cluck". Haven't watched either film in it's entirety so I don't know if there are clucks elsewhere. This did not happen with previous versions.

Now I don't have access to my encoding computer atm, and the one I'm using doesn't have a dvdrom drive. But I have a VOB sample on the HD so I tried encoding the AC3 with BeSweet v1.3b9 firstly using the 1.07.4 commands, and then the 1.08.1 commands.

Now, I imagine it's the bolded line that's causing me grief, am I correct in that assumption? I seem to remember downmixes causing clicks. Can't tell if there is one at 5:27 as there is a door noise at that time :(

In an ideal world I'd wait to I can access my encoding machine, but because of issues of time, I'd like to clear it up before then.

Is there any problem with using the old commands (I know how to fix that) with the newest version of besweet?

It is quite possible because you have deselected the "Autodetect Azid Gain" in the audio tab.

please use -azid( -g max ) when inputfile is ac3. ( -ota( -g max ) is slower ).
please update the dvd2svcd package to usage of BeSweet v1.3b11, there's a solved issue there with mpa inputs.

@DSPGuru: I already do. The user has just deselected it in the audio tab ;) This is definately because he is using a -g 6

in the same vein:

how about something like normalize to XX% in DVD2SVCD audio settings, so that would turn into this:

-azid( -g max ) -ota( -g 0.XX )

it'd save me the trouble of doing the audio separate every time ;)

Thanks for the info, it helped ;) Somehow autodetect got de-selected when I encoded these test files (not sure how, must have been careless with the mouse). However, it was not deselected on the other machine that I actually encoded the SVCDs on. So the above logs are irrelevant to the problem.

I accessed the encoding machine and did a test rip (canceled when video encoding started). There were no errors in the besweet log but there was a click at the start of the mp2. That was using 1.07 build 4.

I upgraded to 1.08 build 1, then re-did the same thing and no click.

The clicks also seem to occur (although not always) when switching around the audio file in WMP and also when switching chapters on my pioneer 344. Those clicks aren't actually in the audio stream it seems (I played a movie for a couple of mins and my chapters are 60 secs).

It's all good now though ;)
