Hi all, whats the general consensus on Pre Processing settings. Should I use Pre Processing for coding DVDs and if so what level should I use ?
What are the pros and cons ?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
Regards

Hi,
I've used it on Light setting with pretty good results....tends to make picture a bit clearer, less grainy for older movies (ex. just did the Shining..)

I haven't tried it on dvds yet, but I found it is a very fast and pretty good spatial smoother for tv captures. For a DVD, I wouldn't use more than the "light" setting, and only if you need it (when the picture quality is grainy or if you want to pack a 3 hour movie on one CD)
