Crop & Resize

Hi all

Does Crop and resize work ok in DVD2AVI 1.76 with the Clip & Resize by Ogo ?

I set the correct cropping and resize values and then save my project file then use VFAPI on it. I then open the VFAPI file in Virtual Dub and I was expecting to see the movie cropped and resized but it isn't. Is there something obvious I a missing here ?
I figured if I cropped and resized in DVD2AVI then it would speed the DIVX 5 encoding up since the codec wouldn't need to do its own crop and resize. Or am I wrong in assuming I can do it this way ??

I'm not sure if itd be much faster, becasue wether you're reszing in dvd2avi, in avi synth scriipt, in virtual dub with it's filters or in the codec itself, somthign is eventually resizing. i woudl think framserverign woudl be spead up the lass data there was though so at the dvd2avi or avisynth step i'd imagine...

but unless you're aplying extra filters to it, why nto save right out of dvd2avi? it's much faster, only thing is until nic releases his version the 2 passes can't be automated.

To the best of my knowledge, resize doesn't work with the frame server (you did mention VFAPI).

Cropping works (or used to), but I usually avoid it because I frame serve in YUV, and cropping exhibits a strange bug in YUV.
