1st pass file results in a 2 gig+ file?

i just did a movie with nics latest build... and the 1st pass resulted in a 2 gig file... and i was able to play it.. seems it has done a 1-pass instead of the 1st part of a 2-pass....


...strangely this only occurs if i use vdub and do my settings...

if i use the quick2pass tool it works just fine...

Sounds like you've unchecked the "Discard 1st pass bitstream" checkbox in the 2-pass tab. With that unchecked, it writes out the entire quant=2 1st pass movie to disk.
