Just wanted to post that I used dvd2svcd version 1.0.8 build 1 to rip a dvd and create all the files using the softwares default settings. Then after it finished, I used the d2v file for the video and and the mp2 for the audio and loaded them in tmpgenc using these settings 352 x 240 mpeg1, 4x3, automaticVBR(CQ_VBR),29.97fps VBV buffer size 40, motion search highest quality, aspect ratio you can choose (I tend to try to keep this the same as the original movie), birate 1150 or you could use the standard VCD template that comes with Tmpgenc. It will convert the mp2 file to a wav then make a mpg of your movie. After that burn with Nero as a VCD. I always like to preview my rips before I burn to check them out. You can probably play around with some of the settings and get it better results but this one was decent quality for a VCD and it will play on my Sony dvp 300 player which usually won't play anything other than VCD standard. Just wanted to post and let people know. It takes a while to make it but it can be done and it worked few artifacts and no sound lagging. Definately watchable....ICQ 11590742
