View Full Version : Xmpeg setup: no success! Plugin message....

Hi,
Iīve unzipped Xmpeg but starting the programm, a message in a foreign
language pops up, saying "thereīs something wrong with a plugin...
read documents..." which of course arenīt there.
That happened to me with EVERY version of XMMMMMMPEG and it sucks!
So whatīs wrong? Any idea?

1. could u post the whole error message text ?
2. since u are german u might want to check out Robs (http://www.robs-online.de)site where the whole process is discribed in german ;)

you haven't got a output plugin, i guess
you probably need the OpenDML AVI output file
if you got a older version with this plug in copy it and paste it
in the directory.
If you got one with odmlavioutput.cm.flask rename it to
odmlavioutput.cm.xmpeg

Yeah,.. u might want to deinstall Xmpeg and all Flaskmpeg version u got on your system installed (also regestry entries)and reinstall Xmpeg4.5+DVD.msim plugin

it worked taking the plugin from a older version and renaming it.
Great! (However, itīs strange that it didnīt come with the download from doom9 automatically. Maybe we should give doom9 a notice? Or did YOU get it?

No it's normal,.. Xmpeg developers decided not to incule the DVD.msim with Xmpeg but to distribut it seperatly,... (don't know why exactly they decided to do this,..)

yes, thatīs it...
However, I meant the opendml avi plugin, which I renamed and which made the programm working properly. So itīs actually the sort of "odmlavioutput.cm.xmpeg" that is missing. In the installer package, there was only the "aviplugin.cm", and that seems not to be enough.

But maybee itīs all different, bye,

Oh, yeah totally forgot about that,... they left the opendml plugin out because too many people complained about it not working (if I remember right). And I think they kind of thought that those people who hadn't have a problem with it would just take the one from Flask or an older version ;)

Can someone mail me a version of OpenDML AVI output that works
with xmpeg 4.5 (got version 1.0.0.2)cos min eonly work till versiin 4.2a
and ui figured ot that the aviplug.cm.xmpeg work only on NT
kernells (got win98)

that works xmpeg 4.5 in win98
