I am using D2S v 1.0.7b1. When I choose extract subtitles (CVD), all the bmp files that are created are BLANK (they don't have any text). Also the subtitle confirmation screen doesn't show me the subtitles of the movie. However, I can see as well as rip the subtitles of Directors Commentry.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks

Try upgrading to the newest version of D2S that might help.

In the subtitles confirmation screen if u don't see the interested subtitle (for example you need english subtitles but u can see only directors commentry) u have to click on the next button until u see the subtitles u need.
If u need 2 subtitles (for example i usually rip English and Italian) u have to click nest button until all the 2 subtitles u need are visible.
I guess this can solve your problem.

Jason28, I haven't upgraded to newer version, I will do if nothing else works. Thanks

emilius256, I do see the subtitle stream I have to pick in the "Subtitle Selection" confirmation window. But nomatter how many times I click Next there's no preview shown to me.

D2S GURUS's
I have found that not only for this movie (Shrek Bonus Disc) but with any movie that has subtitle mode as "LETTERBOX" instead of "4:3" in the "Subtitle Selection" confirmation window, if CVD mode is selected, the ripped subtitles are all blank ie. all the BMP files are blank without any text. Is this a BUG or a LIMITATION of D2S? If not, can someone help me extracting the CVD subtitles when the subtitles are in LETTERBOX mode instead of 4:3...PLEASE..

Thanks

There is no support if you are not using the latest version. There is a reason there is a latest version. It's called bug fixes. We cannot remember every fix or option from all the old versions.

Should I just run the D2S 1.0.8b1 installer or should I first uninstall the old version (v1.0.7b4)? I checked up in the forum as well as the the direct link and no where I could find this answer.

Sorry, if I am being little dumb on this...

Best bet is to always uninstall the first one unless the next one is just an upgrade. A quick hint if the file is 5mb's or larger it's the full bundle.
Also after you uninstall it check the program files directory to make sure the DVD2SVCD directory is gone. Most times it will be, but you don't want old files hanging around that have the chance to screw you up.

Thanks guys for helping me out. The problem is solved with the newer version although I had to hit NEXT button couple of times in the "Subtitle Preview" confirmation screen.

Thanks once again to everyone helping me out.
