DIVX 5 Pros and Cons

I admit it,I like it.Divx 3 was always kinda blocky to me and was never able to deal with lots and lots of motion(two pass or not).I convert toons and TV stuff,and never have I dealt with a compression codec able to deal with everything I do.I have a stack of Warner toons that are in DIVX 3 I made,and they ahve about 13 - 17 toons per disc.They look fine,and since Ive discovered that all toons (I like anyway)look better when converted to 24 fps,Ive been able to make even more room on the discs for more toons.As of now I can get a 7 1/2 minute toon down to 25 megs(minus audio)in two pass and it looks about same as Divx 3.

That was my PRO,heres my CON.

I cant search quite as fast as I could,and I get synch problems.

I captured the last shuttle launch and added a digital recorded shuttle sound to it using Vegas.Looks and sounds GREAT here.I take it to a pal of mines and I cant make it play in synch on his machine.

Also,why didnt someone say that if you encoded anything in the NEW version(5.0.1),that it wouldnt play right in the original(5.0.0)?!

I like DIVX 5,dont get me wrong,but it is still new.Divx 3 has ruined me on attributes.I did test rip a dvd with it,and it looks VERY good(for a one disc rip),but until they get their versions straight,im gonna stay with DIvX 3.

Has anyone gotten these movies' interlace lines out?

I can inverse telecine anything else but these movies?!?

I get jerky frames,and I get what looks like FORCED interlaced frames as well.
