Hello,
I've problems to get my program DVX to work on Windows 2000 and ME because Media Player don't open avs files, on XP I've no problems, I've installed Media Player 7.1 on Windows 2000, my program opens an avs file with MCI for cropping. The program is now called DVX and is a frontend for DVD2AVI commandline, AviSynth/MPEG2DEC.dll, it makes job files for VirtualDub. English and german language version is available, Visual Basic 6.0 Source included.

Does it work in Windows 2000 if you put a ConvertToRGB() at the end of the script? If it does, install huffyuv to open YUY2 clips.

code works now with 2000 and XP, but still nothing is displayed under ME, I wonder if it works on 98

strText = "LoadPlugin(""" & strProgramPath & _
"MPEG2DEC\MPEG2DEC.dll"")" & vbCrLf & "mpeg2source(""" & _
strFileName & ".d2v"")" & vbCrLf & "ConvertToRGB()"

Set ctf = fso.CreateTextFile(strSourceFolderPath & "crop.avs")
ctf.Write strText
ctf.Close

i = mciSendString("open """ & strSourceFolderPath & "crop.avs"" " & _
"type avivideo alias VIDEOBILD parent " & frmCrop.PicVid.hwnd & " style child", 0&, 0, 0)
i = mciSendString("put VIDEOBILD window at 0 0 640 480", 0&, 0, 0)
