I have scoured the forum for such a thread and have not really had much luck. If someone has already asked such a question then by all means question my credibility.

What i would like to know is whether or not it would be possible to use the LSX encoder instead of CCE as I have used LSX for quite some time in order to make VCDs, and it has run very nicely, allbeit with rather poor sound. Upon trying to use flask and LSX to make SVCD i have run into all sorts of problems and flask keeps crashing, but enough about that.

Also, my knowledge of CCE is limited but it doesnt seem quite as fast, should this not be the case, question my credibility again.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

btw.. DVD2SVCD seems like the way forward.....

I know I said that TMPGEnc would never be supported but I did it anyway in version 1.0.7. But I do think that I can safely say that LSX will not be supported. I find LSX not only does a poor job with Audio but also a very poor job with video compared to CCE and TMPGEnc.

If you're willing to sacrifice quality and you want to use LSX, I think you should try DVDx.

Regarding the quality issue, I just want to say this was in regards to LSX, not DVDx. I have never tried DVDx so it would be wrong of me to badger it, I have however used LSX in the past and it just came out short.

Yeah i've used Lsx a few times, the latest version of course and i also seen the quality was lacking. I even put the settings to the max and still was just not up to the quality i'm used to. Nice looking program tho i must give it that heheh has alot of things 2 play with but in the end it falls short.
