first, sorry for my english, i am german.
i made many svcd´s with dvd2svcd 1.07 an all did work well with my standaloneplayer.
than i installed the new version 1.08, and tried it with the default settings. the result was, that the svcd works fine at my pc, but it flickers at my standalone.
than i uninstalled 1.08 and re-installed 1.07, and made a svcd from the same dvd with default settings, and the result worked at my standalone.
has anybody an idea, what could be the reason for this?
thx

If you had "anamorphic (no borders encode as 16:9)" selected on the conversion tab try changing that to "16:9 (borders added encode as 4:3)" or if you wanted it encoded for a widescreen TV make that "4:3 (no borders encode as 4:3)".
If not paste a log that worked from 1.07 and one that didn't from 1.08 and lets see what is different if anything.

also, in 108b1 "field order" is automated. perhaps 107b4 uses another (better in this case) order.

Da Franksta: 1.0.8 is better at finding the right field order. In this case it is definately because of the 16:9 tag.

Hi everybody, and compliments to the author of this suite, DVD2SVCD!Great. I also have some problem with small jump on the encoded video, mainly at the beginning of every chapter. So I think It could be "16:9 (borders added encode as 4:3)" , as I'm reading here.
Why is this useful setting not well working?
C'mon!!

16:9 (borders added encode as 4:3)" this is the setting I am saying to try. The reason the anamorphic(no borders encode as 16:9) doesn't work is it's the stand alone players fault. Most DVD players cannot play this correctly.
If you are using 16:9 (borders added encode as 4:3) then it's not the same problem. Make a new post, be sure to include your log.txt file and maybe mention what DVD player you are playing it on.
