Permenent subtitle issues and using 2 subtitle tracks

Hey, im trying to rip plastic little to a svcd, the source resoultion on it is 720x480, and the compressing to 480x480 ismaking the subtitles look realy realy bad, boardering on unreadable. in addition, is it possible to use 2 subtitle streams ina permenent subtitle mode? like so they both show up at once? because theres a counter for this movie that shows how many preast jiggle's there have been (no im not kidding), and id like to encode them as well. i hope this elaborates my issues well enough to propose a soultion from.

you can fot thar you must extract with d2s the 2 streams, change the position of the subs so they are not one over the other, and after you must edit the avysinth so you encode the second stream by hand
this is not as simple as i posted but i think you have the general idea of the process
