Help!

Every time I try to encode something with a bitrate below 780 kbit/s in 2ndPass mode, I get an error when 1stPass has finished. The message says something like "Chosen bitrate to low, switching to higher bitrate 3,456,546 bytes"
Something like this.
Then 2ndPass starts and produces a file that looks correct and has aproximately the filesize it should have with that too low bitrate. In the properties section of the windows explorer however there is a written bitrate of 10 kbit/s!!
What's wrong here? Is this correct, or not?

You should just be a little bit more specific about your problem.

And for the windows explorer, it can not give correct values for newer codecs - and maybe no version of divx codecs however -. Just calculate it with Virtual dub, that's all.

be more specific about what part? the error message?
it is just like I said, although the value I gave isn't exactly the same (it differs a bit every time)
Well, I encode a movie (about 5 minutes long) with a setting of let's say 300 kbites/s with two pass encoding, ok? the first pass runs without any problems, but just when it is over and the second pass should run I get the message where I can OK and then the second pass starts. It runs through just like normal and the finished file seems to be normal as well. but maybe it isn't, i don't know.
