I think I've seen that reported before, but didn't pay any attention then and now can't find any info through searching...

The final muxed MPEG file is missing the first two or so seconds of the movie. If however I manually mux the same ".mp2" and ".mpv" files with bbMPEG the resulting MPEG is fine. What's going on? What can I do besides manually remuxing files?

Oh, and since we're on the bbMPEG subject, what exactly "SVCD scan offsets" are?

Cheers

is movie offset in bbmpeg-tab set to 2 seconds?

da franksta, I'm on a different computer right now and can't quite recall bbMPEG options, but I always leave them at default. I think it's 120 ms for both audio and video. Or was it 180 ms? Sorry, I'll have to get back if this is important.

I'm puzzled as to why automated muxing process (DVD2SVCD) misses two first seconds while manual muxing doesn't since I don't ever change bbMPEG settings (being bbMPEG illiterate myself).

by default movie offset is 2 seconds, as is cd overlap. allegedly this solves problems on some dvd-players. i myself have no problems with an offset of 0 seconds using a pioneer dv525. perhaps you should try setting it to 0 as well.

check the bbmpeg tab, you'll know what i mean :)
