I've read over the SBC guide and a few others, but I'm still pretty new at this, so please excuse me if I'm asking some stupid questions.
I'm re-encoding an anime with DivX 3.11a to add subtitles and clean it up a bit. The source material is an .avi (a 640x368 TV rip, already de-interlaced) of fairly good quality, but it's a bit blurry and has visible noise in a few places (while I've looked over a lot of the posts here and already picked up a few ways to deal with these from you guys, any tips for fixing them would still be appreciated, as I may have missed something).
The main problem is that I'm having problems with dancing pixels in patterned areas like walls, which makes them look like they're moving/shimmering even during a still shot. How could I get rid of these?
