Ahoy everybody!
I released OggMux 0.8.2, find it following the link in my signature :)
Changelog:
17.04.2002 22:00h MET
- Version 0.8.2
- Added chapter support. You can already enter those informations, but they get fully supported (playback...) with some next versions off Tobias' Ogg DirectShow filters.
The import list button can be used to gain chapter information from an *INFO.txt-file which SmartRipper can create on ripping that from DVD *caugh* But you don't know that from me, alright? ;)
Enjoy the new release (and the future support on playback for that!)
Best regards,
Koepi

Very nice;)
The chapter support looks like it's worth investigating.

Hi Koepi, thank you for the new version.
I'm reporting a bug: (WinXp Pro)
1) Open OggMux 0.8.2
2) Click Import List
3) Click Cancel
4) OggMux hangs.

Damn I thought I was fast :D . No sense in mentioning the little chapter issue now. Thanks Koepi, this just keeps getting better and better. Now we just need menus and scene indexes in the DSF and we're all set ;) .

@ Koepi,
Hot update !
I think it will be nice if :
Not keyframe-accurate yet files can start with a stall picture...
will be keyframe-accurate in the next version. ;)
Keep your great work Koepi.

Is working ac3 suport a viable option? That is what is really preventing me from switching to ogm streams
Is the hang up in oogmux, or the DSF filteres?
I've seen discustion on this but never found a definitive answer.

a) keyframe accurate:
I tell the graph to jump to the keyframe. But it doesn't.
Ask microsoft or whoever to fix that.
b) ac3 working/not working:
Didn't test it, added it by user request.
You may simply test it yourself.
Whether they work or not isn't depending on OggMux. OggMux is just a tool making it easy mux'ing everything imaginable into OGG, using Tobias' directshow filters for that issue.
I hope your questions are answered satisfyingly(damnit, that word can't be correct, but I hope you know what I mean).
Regards,
Koepi

"satisfactory"
close , very close :-)
yeah i didn;t think ti was with oogmux, though it could have been an interleaveign problem...see it muxes, but it won't advance
for insatnce i can jump to any frame, but it sits there like it's paused
maybe tolbas will see this if he frequents the forum

Including myself I've yet to hear of anyone muxing AC3 successfully into an Ogg container. I think the issue is that the Intervideo filter always dumps the stream to PCM. It's an unknown if this is a problem with the Ogg multiplexer or not, guess we'll see what Tobias has to say.

The thing with the chapter information soudns interesting, but will it still work when I cut the final file with ogg cut?
I would test it myself, but since the feature isn't activated in the ds filter...;)

@ Koepi,

Now I've got the point, thank you.

I have a little feature request:
It would be very helpful if OggMux was able to convert existing avi and let me choose the stream labeling. So far it works I think but you can't chose a label for the existing streams.
Just a thought. So far I use old Graphedit to do that.

<repeat mode on>
it is a VERY BAD thing to convert old avis to ogg.
<repeat mode off>

Sorry when I repeat, but I don't see why. You don't have any loss in quality and you gain seeking advantage. I only noticed that some avi-mp3 (VBR I think) wouldn't be played back properly as ogm although conversion seems to work.

You DO request from me to write a demuxer.
'nough said about that topic, use the search button about that matter.
Now annoyed,
