Number of VOBs

In the DVD standard, how many vts_XX_yy is possible to
find?
Normally I've seen until vts_9_x.vob but I don't know
what is the standard.
Could I arrive until vts_99_x.vob?

yes.. you can have up to 99 vts sets. but why would you? the worst I've seen was above 30 vts sets and most of them contained just a few text pages which I would've put together with the rest of the menus if I had been authoring the disc

I'am authoring with Maestro a particular DVD that is a
collection of many important scenes taken from different
important commercial movies. Just an anthology of Motion Pictures
to study and analyze the skills and creativity of various
directors (Hitchock, Besson, Fellini, and so on..).
So I have take these scenes in different way; some from DVD
with DVDtoAVI and others capturing from VHS with RT2500 in
MPEG2IBP.
I have difficult to put all these assets in the same vts set
because every one has a different audio track (I could use the
'audio sync' option of Maestro) but without sync, expecially
those taken with DVDtoAVI.
For these reason I've to put a single scene on a vts set and
then to shift the video track to obtain sync.

I don't know how to resincronize the audio track (AC3) modifing
its lenght without recompress the video.
This problem is come out from DVD2AVI that can't demux the ac3
track in sync.
