Why do i have to select the language every time i start xmpeg 4.5 and why does Xmpeg perform a benchmark test every time i select a an ifo-file? I didnt ad any new plugs or something.

that's a known bug, for some people it doesn't save settings and needs to redo the iDCT benchmark and for some, like me, it doesn't.
As far as I know/remember up to now it isn't really clear on which machines it happends an on which not,...

what OS do u use?,.. checked some posts at the official german Flaskmpeg board about Xmpeg and it seems like the problem only exists with Xmpeg in combiantion with Win98/ME,.. Win2k/XP users seem not to this problem,..

Ps.: Will try Xmpeg4.5 with win98 once I get home (in something like 8hrs), if the system doesn't occure on my win98 system I'll copy the reg file and send it to you :)

Danke,
i got Win98se with 4.5. Today when Xmpeg finished work there was shown Xmpeg 4.3 alpha in the topbar. By the way, why does the screen of xmpeg look that dizzy when it stops?
@Selur Wo ist das offizielle deutsche Forum für Flaskmpeg?

just installed Xmpeg on my Laptop (only machine with Win98 on it),.. doing a little mpeg2avi conversion right now with it and checking the registry while doing it,.. only paths with Xmpeg in it are:
2 empty directories:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xmpeg]
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Xmpeg]
and:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectDraw\MostRecentApplication]
"Name"="XMPEG.EXE"
"ID"=dword:3c9be0f1
I'll also check after finishing the conversion if the settings changed and if when I restart Xmpeg it'll do the iDCT test again,.. ;)

/edit:
Funny before encoding topbar sais: Xmpeg 4.5 after 4.3alpha *gig*
Xmpeg did the iDCT test again after I closed and opended it again,..

I ment with dizzy: There were no buttons anymore and the frame of the xmpeg window looked like in WinXP, but i use Win98se.
I think it has something to do with the to less memory after encoding.
