View Full Version : Make VCD of a perfect DVD2SVCD creation?

Is there any smart way of doing this?
I've used DVD2SVCD a long time now when I make my SVCDs..
Though, my parents bought a new DVD player for "their" livingroom and it can only play VCDs. I still wanna use DVD2SVCD because imho it's the best. Is there some "reMPEG" program out there to convert my SVCD backups? If this aint possible, maybe a DVD2VCD option should be built-in in the frontend? Anyway, main thing here is to make good vcds so if someone has some thoughts please share... :D

DVD2SVCD cannot make VCD's and will never make VCD's.
Read the guides at doom9.org for good ways to make VCD's.

Why is it everytime I post that something will never be supported it's right before you go ahead and hint it might be? Does my timing suck this bad all the time?
This happened when someone asked about TMPG support and I said it would never happen then two days later there was the beta. I think from now on I will just say it isn't supported now and there are no known plans for it. "Known" covers my butt better.

I look forward to the next version as always you never know what will show up.

Please say that "Auto-delete VOB files" will never be a feature in any DVD2SVCD program.
