Does anybody know if it is possible to mux three audio streams with a divx 3 sbc video? I'm using it to encode japanese films and animes, which usually come with english audio, japanese audio, then the directors commentry (as we all know), and I usually end up cutting out the japanese since it's the most pointless one, but it would be nice to keep it, and I was wondering if anybody knows about this.

Also, does anyone think it's a good idea to produce a 1cd divx 3 sbc film (movie or anime) with three mp3 vbr audio tracks (assuming it's the best audio format to use when it comes to these matters) or am I stretching the 700MB CD a little?

if it's vbr you cna;t do it onyl nandub seems capable of vbr audio muxing...if it's cbr you cna use avimux

well the dc youc an just have as say a 44 khz mono track at 64 kb/s then you might have troom for the anime if it's low bitrate and the mp3's are 96, 128 maybe but it's really tight...

I'm trying to mux 3 streams into a 2 disk divx and i have a thread here, but no one has been able to help yet.

read my post :-)

avimux wotn split a file though so ti wont work in my case *manually spliting increases the fiel szie if i split the muxed files and extarct the audio, and if i split the file and mux seperatly it's out of sync*

i'd work fine for him though

my question still stands. Is it possible to mux 3 mp3 vbr audio streams with one divx video?

why not go with ogg vorbis instead of mp3? At low bitrates ogg vorbis is supposed to be of better quality than mp3 and you can then use oggmux to write your divx video and all three audio tracks into an ogm stream.

ogg? hmm...interesting... So oggmux is the best program for this? Anybody know anywhere i can find a guide on how to mux oggs with divx video? also, will zoomplayer play multiple ogg streams? And how do i calculate the bitrate if i am using gknot? would i have to use another program?

you should have a look at doom9's site at http://www.doom9.org/ogg.htm, there he shows how to mux ogg audio and subtitles into ogg media stream together with a video of your choice. The programs themselves are also available at his site.
But you don't have to use ogggmux, you can also mux the files using graphedit yourself.
I don't know for sure with Zoomplayer since I never used it, but BSPlayer and WMP play ogg media streams with multiple audio tracks just fine, as long as you have the right directshow filters installed (also from doom9). I think every player *should* work if it uses directshow for playback.
I still use GKnot to calculate file size, just do the audio tracks an add them, plus a little bit extra space for muxing overhead, but it seems to be only half of the size VBR mp3's need.
