I would just like to Rip the original menu still from a DVD and insert it into spruce up. How do you go about doing that?

Hi,

- get the VTS_xx_0.VOB, or the one out of the VTS_xx_0.VOBs which is bigger than 100kb. Usually it is the VTS_xx_0.VOB where xx is the main title
- use SR to copy
- get VOBRator from doom9.org
- open the VOB and choose demux
- you get the *.m2v and *.pcm (48kHz 16b st) or .ac3 of the menu
- open with any kind of MPEGEditor (e.g. MPEG2VCR 3.11) which is able to save a .bmp, or use Maestro directly, import to timeline, create a chapter point and export the .bmp of this chapter point
- use SubRip to grab the SubPictures from the Menu VOB
- import everything to Maestro (*.pcm would need to convert to wav first, remember format is 48kHz 16b st)

et voila, ready.
