can u mux an aac file with a xvid avi? and how big does aac gets?
i didnt find any exact answer in the forums...

you can.. however, the creator of the aac ds filter (nic ) will tell you that it's not worth wasting your time.. synch is a nightmare (comparable to getting ogg in avi to work). stick to mp4creator... you need a format better than avi to properly use this audio format.. and imho it's still too early for aac

bitrate * length_in_seconds... as with every codec ;)

quality is the same or slightly better than ogg at the same bitrate. For more info refer to hydrogenaudio.org.. the audio gurus hang out there (but being gurus means they don't have much love for newbies barging in).

Doom9 is completely right...AAC into AVI is as impossible as Ogg into an AVI.

The thing with AAC & Ogg is there is no such thing as CBR (in AAC/OGG CBR = MP3 ABR (well pretty much ;) )

lol... i understand you... but isnt almost everyone kind of a n00b in aac?

i dont realy feel like a noob in video encoding... well just a bit maybe :rolleyes:
