sub sync problem

Hello,

i converted 2 DVDs (Shanghai Noon and Star Wars: Episode 1) to SVCD. Video is perfect and i can switch between 2 audio streams. I only have a problem with subtitles: At the beginning of the film the subs are in sync but to the end of the film the subs are about 1 second before the actors speak. Do i have to adjust the ms between subs in DVD2SVCD and how do i have to adjust them? Or is there something else i can do?

more info please. what kind of subs, log-file etc...
reading your other thread i suspect you used smartripper. this might cause your problem.

This are CVD subs. Image is created with VCDXBuild. I deleted the all files in the directory. Which logs do you need? I'll convert again if it helps.

Why don't you read the big sticky that says Mandatory read? I think it's called that cause it's Mandatory.

i forgot there's a new version of DVD2SVCD. I'm using version 1.0.7 build 4 (The new version's readme didn't say something about changes in subtitle handling). The DVDs i tried to convert are region code 2, PAL, 16:9, ripped with internal routines.

I didn't include the DVD2SVCD logfile into my question because the logfile only says how many subtitles were ripped but nothing about the timecodes (all other thing except subtitles are perfect). So i thought this file wouldn't be interesting. Which file says something about timecodes/errors in timecodes to include into my posting?

Are there more infos someone need to help me with this problem?

Hello,

this time i used dvd2svcd 1.0.8 b1 and everything seems ok. I used ifoedit to copy the vob files to harddisk (because i only need angle 2). Again i used CVD subtitles. Now the subs are in sync.

Don't know if it was the new version of dvd2svcd or ifoedit.
