I have created the *.CFFL file and scanned all vob's.
But when i hit Encode, it never starts to reencode the movie.
It just prints this and then nothing happens:
-------------------
transcoding started
setting up vbr-controller using selected options
pass1..
decoder thread started...
encoder thread started...
decoder done...

--------

I w8 & w8 & w8.....
still after 1h... nada...

It has not crashed... because if i hit cancel it exits with "encoder done" and "transcoding done"..

And if i try separate VOB's, it encodes just fine...

I'm running W2K, w 640Mb of ram.

This was my last hope of re-encoding, as TMPEG freezes and crash
when following the tmpeg guide reencoding...

you have to have all the files (so your vob files ) in the same folder as the movie.cffl file....I had the same ..then it starts to continue!!

I HAD all the files in the same catalog.

But i used smartripper to rerip all vobs to one single big vob file instead.
And then transcode that instead. It works and rempeg does not crash.

What did the progress bar say? There is a known problem with ReMPEG2 hanging on the last frame. When this happens abort it, and the m2v is fine.

I had the same problem, tried it on a different computer. First try didn't work, second try worked and was still running when I left the house. NO CLUE!!!

The problem seems to be if you try and redirect the output file to another place exept from the folder that you started in it won't work, just save it in the same folder
