Does your VIDEO_TS folder need to be all caps or is small case ok? I notice when I do DVD backup mode in Smartripper a lot of the time the folder video_ts is in small case, is this ok? Whats strange is I'll do a DVD backup in smartripper, it gives me my video_ts folder in small case, but when I do an explore on the DVD sure enough its in all caps

I read somewhere that all the letters (AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS) should be CAPITAL LETTERS when burning to a final dvd-r.:) Hope this helps!

No it does not have to be all caps. I've run into some DVDs where the VIDEO_TS was video_ts and AUDIO_TS was audio_ts. So what I do is, if I author the DVD with DVD Maestro, I use the folder that it creates VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS. On a few DVD-5's that I've made 1:1 copies of that had the lower case for the folders, I ripped the entire content to my HD put them into lower case folders, ran IFOEdit (get VTS), then burned to DVD-R.

UDF is not case sensitive, so no. I doesn't matter.
Use all CAPS.... My DVD players wont recognize disks that are in all lowercase. My DVD Players are Sony DVP-CX860, Sony DVP-NS500V, Apex AD-600A
VIDEO_TS - works
Video_ts - works
video_ts - Doesn't work
video_ts might work on other players but use VIDEO_TS for better compatibility :)

Yes, Sy is correct
According to the DVD standards VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS must be CAPS and you must have both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder on the DVD.
However as some of you may noticed its not strictly required for all players.
Again for compatibility reasons I recommend that you follow this rule otherwise you may take a disk round to a friends house and find that it wont play
