Undersized with TmpgEnc (2pass) VBR

I extended the time interval in the bitrate tab to include up to 160 minutes on two 80 min CDs. My movie was 156 minutes long (T2 SE) and while it indeed only used 2 CD the second one was only 570 MB (35 hours later).

Bug? I take it not too many people use TmpgEnc with DVD2SVDC cause of the processing time, so maybe it's not fully tested yet (?)

other bitrate settings:
Max 2600, Min 300, Min(average) unchecked, Max(average) 2600
(That last setting is the only way I can seem to get 2600 video on my Home DVs using CBR). I'm using version 2.53

The source is NTSC and maybe the framerate has something to do with the undersizing. It shouldn't since we're talking kbits per second which is just as long as a PAL second, but maybe the pulldown screws things up anyways ... heck I don't know.

Just now I though of the "brilliant" idea of going over the log-file to see what has actually happened.

It states 1286+128 for v+a giving:

((1286+128)*156*60*1000)/(1024^2*8*2)=788 MB per CD (+ overhead should be pretty accurate for a 800 MB CD, right?)

So, It's a TmpgEnc problem ... you can relax, dvd2svcd ... unless of course the program failed to provide the parameters it states in the log to tmpgenc. But we don't think that.

B t w I've changed my mind again. (I feel stupid for not checking out the files properly before taking up vauable thread space)

I looked at the mpv-file which contains the full video. The audio is also there in its entire length. So the bile has to fall on something else.

In the final result we have first 76 minutes on disc 1 and the last 54 minutes on disc 2, leaving 26 minutes of video in the middle that is not present on either disc. Every minute is, as I said, accounted for in the mpv-output of TmpgEnc, so could it be your splitting device, BBmpeg or something ... ?
