Strange thing...Can anybody explane that? I made my first encode with Xmpeg 4.5 with DivX 5.01 and as usual YV12 option. What is that:
- The file has 24 bit format (with 3.11, 4.12 and 5.0 format was allways 12 bit and faster encoding than VD)
- 3-5 frps slower encoding in each pass
+ File is compatible with Virtual Dub 1.4.10 "append avi segment" option when you add xmpeg made file to VD made file.

"with 3.11, 4.12 and 5.0 format was allways 12 bit"
hope it were 16bit ;)

"3-5 frps slower encoding in each pass"
maybe u changed somethign in the DivX5 Codec settings,...

"File is compatible with Virtual Dub 1.4.10 "append avi segment" option when you add xmpeg made file to VD made file."
should be because both header now say 24bit (if u use full processing mode in VD)

Ps.: Hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong,...

All is exatly what I say:
- see attachment about 12 bit - movie maked with Xmpeg 4.5 & DivX5.0
- Yes I changed some in DivX, and that is I'm not using qpel with 5.01 because again causes artifacts in noise movies (A.I. - region 2 for example)+ Not using qpel= faster encoding, but this time not happened. first pass - 6-7 fps /second 10-12 fps with Divx 5.01

Speed differences could also apear if your height/width (after cropping) is not dividable by 16.

I have the same problem--always getting 24 bit color format for my encodes. But I'm using Xmpeg 4.2a.

So, maybe we can blame on Divx 5.01 :)
