I am new to Gknot and it seems like an awesome tool...so thx to the author. After the first pass virtual dub gets a critical error, once I close the error screen virtual dub closes, the log file is opened, virtual dub opens again does the second pass and the movie is finished with no apparent problems. Is this a common prob where maybe I need to update something? Any help would be appreciated. I've read the forums and have found nothing relating to this so If I missed a thread I appologize, but if you could please give me a link. Thx

Nobody else has run into this problem or do I need to post the error log in order to get some help. I thought it would have been a common problem simply because the same thing happened on two different computers with two different movies.

what's the exact error message?
post your *_gknot.log.
and post the error log as well, maybe a vdub expert can read it.

I get the same error. Its an access violation in vdub. First pass only. Close the error message and second pass starts and movie comes out top quality. Also, there is no set position in the conversion that the error will occur. It may be at the very beginning, middle, end or anywhere in between.
i have also met this problem
with comp chack
when Vdub got 100% i got BSOD every time untill i hit reset
alfet reboot it was OK
dont have logs
