Hi
I have backed up "Private Rayan" and it took me 15 hours! (using TMPGEnc and the CQ tap)!
In the CD Image I have checked "Don't make images" and in the Bitrate section I have put the CD size to 800 in all sections. What I got out was 3 bbMPEG_Muxed_File00-03 foles, two were 795MB and one 1,43GB!!! I had to splice the 3d huge file to 2 smaller ones, using TMPGEnc and then I burned the 4 files using Ulead MovieFactory. The end result was PERFET! My question is. Why the 3d huge file? and is 15 hours OK?
My PC Pentium III 1Ghz 512 Ram.

Please do not break the forum rules.

Post your DVD2SVCD_log.txt file using cut and paste.

15 hours is fine for your setup. Especially considering your using TMPG if you used CCE you would cut some time off that.

Sorry if I broke the rules, but I couldn't think of any other subject heading to describe the very big file I got after encoding. As far as the exclamation mark, well if not allowed, sorry for this.
I haven't got now the log file to post, but could it be that in the bitrate section, the CDsize of the last parameter, should have been 4, and not 3 as the default?

It wasn't the post name it was the exclamation points these are not allowed here.

If you made the cd number to 3 DVD2SVCD makes changes to the bitrate to compensate unless you did one of a few things.
1. Use 1 pass VBR. This confuses DVD2SVCD.
2. Set the Min bitrate too high
3. Checked the Min Avg bitrate tab
4. Changed some of the settings for TMPG.
5. Used Crash Recovery and made changes

Many other things can cause this, but without the logs nobody can help you.
