Hey there.

I'm havig problems with the Audio Stream file.
I did everything as prescribed in the guide but somewhere along
the long, very long trip of ripping and encoding, i encountered
the following problem:

After the TMPGEnc trip of 24 hours, the Dvd2Svcd program starts to launch bbmpeg for encoding audio.
I recieve the following message: An Audio stream file must be specified, running settings
After this the settings dialog menu will be displayed, but if i click on any button in this dialog, it closes immedeately, and i recieve a error message in my log file.

The message in my log is as follows:
Executing RunbbMPEG. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\bbMPEG\RunbbMPEG.exe" "G:\movie\RIP\bbMPEG_Muxed_File.mpg"
bbMPEG failed. Exitcode: 3221225477

Since a am new and very green in this, i hope that anybode can help me to finish my first rip.

Thanks a lot and great that there is a forum like this.

Hotline.
:devil:

I had that problem once, I'm trying to remember what I did to fix it... I think I just ran the command line that D2S runs, and then when the settings dialog popped up, I selected it manually without problem. Then I resumed and all was well. Maybe I'm still half asleep, but I believe that's what I did :)

Hi Hotline!

I guess, you use Win XP, because this is a known bug for bbmpeg under Win XP. If you run bbmpeg on its own in Win XP, you will see, that if you want to choose a in- or output file in the settings dialouge, the program will close immediately for no reason. You first have to click on Load -> and then Cancel (in the main screen) and then it works ok.

But it think, thats not possible in your case, because you will see no main screen. So there is an other way to choose the audio for bbmpeg:
open the dvd2svcd project file and search for the lines of the mp2 - audio:

MP2FileName0=
MP2FileName1=..

and then enter the corerect paths manually. i.e.:

MP2ileName0=F:\DVDRip\6thday\audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2

Now you can run a crash recovery for muxing and cutting. Hope I could help you,
winxi

there is also a dll fix for this problem if it is indeed the problem...just download it and replace the current one (this is only if you're using XP btw).

Thanks This issue has pretty much been solved, but to clarify, you'd go Start>Run, and then paste the command line that DVD2SVCD puts in its' log to run BBMpeg into the textbox in the Run dialog.
