Is there any downloadable SMALL software dvd player? Cause I have a slow internet connection and cannot download big files...

How can i use the Windows Media Player from WinXP for DVDs? Do I need a codec or something like that? Is there any download for that?

check out the download section on Doom9.net (http://www.doom9.net) , in the Filter section there you find a .zip file called "Frauenhofer video and audio codecs", install this
filter package and you can play DVD`s with the WMP.
