I am using the CCE guide to re-encode with CCE..

I have a movie (jay and silent bob) in which half of the movie is a Progressive FILM 95% or more... and then the other half is an Interlaced NTCS LESS than 95%...

What do I do in DVD2AVI when creating project? And after that.. Is there something else that has to be done to the project?

I have not figured this out yet.. and have had the same problem with DIVX.

well.. try force film on it and do a preview.. if it doesn't work it's time to use decomb.

Well, it seems that when I force film on the NTSC portion that is less than 95%, it makes that part of the movie run as if it were in slow motion.. And it still seems to contain the interlacing artifacts.

So do you suggest I still "ForceFILM" and then use this "Decomb" method you were talking about???? Or should I NOT force film and keep the frame rate at 29.97 and then use the "Decomb" method you were talking about???

In any case, How exactly do you Decomb? if you could point me in direction.

decomb performs ivtc.. so it's either decomb or force film and they don't mix. as for how to.. look what I found on my document overview page: http://www.doom9.org/decomb.htm

Thanks, I appreciate the responses.

Sorry, though, I didn't know Decomb was an actual program, i thought it was your way of describing the method. =)
