Does anybody use Spruce up with a Pioneer A04.
The program sees the DVD burner ,but will not let me burn directly to the drive, without making a image etc.
Anythoughts

Mine doesn't either but I have read that Spruce only supports the A03 and 1 other burner.
While on the subject, can you make chapters ok?
As soon as I move the slider bar Spruce dies (win XP)

dies on me too, but when i mess around with buttons and fonts/dropshadows... xp.. a04 but i dont think burner has anything to do with crashing
when i make menus i'm very cautious and remember what screwed me up last time... wont burn directly to a04 neither, so i just use title option and make vobs n shit, and use nero to burn as dvd-video
spruce is badass.. now that i figured how to burn anamorphic 16:9 video :P
stupid spruce and 4:3

I'm using the A04 and SpruceUp 1.1 and I haven't been able to get it to dump straight to the drive either. On a side note, I've yet to be able to get SpruceUp to do 16:9. It keeps compressing the final exported stuff to 4:3 so everything is narrower than normal. How did you fix that?

Spruceup won't do 16:9 wich sucks big, but you can fix it quick with Ifoedit I've heard, do a search on the forum about it

Man there sure seems to be a lot of interest in SpruceUp lately...

Look here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25098) for fixing 16:9.

Also, here's a little tip on the chapter placement. Move to a point close to where you want it to be with the mouse, then use the right and left arrow keys to get it exactly where you want it. It steps at 1 second intervals.

I use it with Windows 2000 for my video station work (including Spruce) and its solid as a rock. My Win XP machine seems to have a lot of video issues. I've noticed it locks up a lot while playing MPG and WMF files and dies unpredictably when using the media player.
