interactive menus for svcd??

hi. and i just wanna say this is my first post but i have been "lurking" for weeks. i want to thank the Gods of this forum, the mods, dvd2svcd and the likes for their incredible wealth of knowledge. rock on guys. okay now that the shameless shmoozing is done,:D , i read the whole thread launched by radicaled re: menus in svcd, and became intrigued. i started downloading authoring progs like mad, but for one reason or another, they all do not seem to work right. what is a good, reliable gui driven prog i can use to plant menus into svcd's created with the prog of all progs: dvd2svcd? thanks again for all your excellent work here in this forum!! falcor

TSCV is very nice indeed and I used it alongside DVD2SVCD for quite awhile. If you are only authoring the menus and not creating them though, I have found that VCDEasy's interface is a little easier and quicker to work with (as well as less buggy).

Despite all the work I've been doing with menu conversion and copying and etc, I still think its pretty cool to be able to add a personal, creative touch to your work by making your own menus.

I was all excited when I got hold of ulead dvd movie factory $299 and it said motion menus. Anyway it only applied for dvd authoring and not svcds and vcds. You can still make still menus with for svcds with it though. Anyway I still prefer (and always will) a 2 CD SVCD rip rather than a 3 CD SVCD rip with motion menus, etc.

ifo parsing the fbi warning and title and change pic with original dvd chapters with keypad navigation is just pure icing on the cake.

from all of your rapid responses,(thank you) it seems that all i want is vcdeasy. which i have downloaded. i poked through it a bit and seemed to know what the hell i was doing, but when it created a cue for me, using the cue i had gotten from dvd2svcd, and the xmhl etc all from the dvd2svcd process, the resultant burn from cdrwin was only like 18 megs. i thought, (wrongly, it would seem) that vcdeasy is a prog that lets you gather together all your sources, including the xhml from the dvd2svcd encode and it uses all this input as a map and encodes the whole thing together and gives you a cue that is suitable for a cdrwin burn complete with an interactive, navigable menu. and, since i cannot find a guide on vcdeasy (only tscv) i cant tell if i'm all wet or what? sorry, thats a long way of saying i dont know what the f*ck i am doing with this prog. thanks.:confused: i attached a txt file called austin (like powers) maybe it can tell you something it cant tell me.:(

i'd hardly call it a waste, but then again, it depends who you ask. my wife cant seem to understand spending two weeks obsessing over a sucessful svcd rip, go figure;) thanks again
