Just a sloppy FYI,
I thought this might be of interest to some. I was playing around with DVD workshop's on the fly mpeg creation from my DV camera. I figured it would be another so-so capture. I was shocked to see quality equal to the best TMPG encode I could do (IMHO). They have definately done something special.
The on the fly capture only does 720x480 or vcd resolution and since I do svcds and don't want to reincode, it is pretty useless for me, but I thought I would mention it as the quality was quite good. Perhaps it would be of use to some of you. I did not try, but if it would allow you to use your DVcam as a digitizer for analog source it might be very interesting.
I sure wish it would capture in 480x480!
