In your TMPG guide toward the bottom you state:

"Once done you'll see that some frames have been marked with a red frame, these are the I frames as given in the text file. I've tried to save the position of the P frames too (these would be blue) but the output was always choppy so I guess the I frames is all we can force."

What does that mean? I used your guide but when I got to this part I saw the boxes with the blue frames and red frames. Was I supposed to hit something? I just hit ok.

blue frames = p frames.. when using with ifoedit (actually the tmpg guide is a fragment.. the full guide is based on ifoedit and the tmpg guide is part of that) you should only save the i frame positions, not p frames... i frames are red, p frames are blue. I had serious synch problems setting i and p frames in tmpg but when I dumped the p frames it worked as desired.

When everyone here says synch problems when do these actually happen and when do you see them. Is it after you have burned the DVD and played it in your standalone. The reason I ask is I havent used TMPG before and would like to know where and when do they happen.

if you force p frames in tmpg you should see the problems after ifoedit muxing already.. using any regular software dvd player.. the video will be extremely choppy. asynch can also be seen in a software dvd player.. but on a standalone there's another complexity layer... some players don't like certain burning programs, most players don't accept all kinds of recordable discs, and a dvd that plays just fine in your software dvd player might not play on a standalone as pcs are much more forgiving than standalones.
