Compressibility check for XviD ?

Is there a utility out there which help us to
do the compressibility check for XviD ?

Since Gordion Knot is not supporting XviD yet,
I've read from the forum while some people try to use DivX 4.12
compressibility check. But I still have a question about
the lowest limit, as you know for the DivX 4.12 (>40%),
SBC (>60%), how about XviD ? How many percent ?

Hi ooksDVD-

I run my compressibility check with DivX 3.11-NanDub, and then after I get the percentage I want (~65% or so), then I'll run my real first pass in XviD. Then, when I load the resulting XviD stats file into Gknot, the percentage will be 7-10% lower than the one from the original Compressibility check. But that's to be expected.

That seems to be a good work around (I think) until XviD is integrated into GKnot.

check the thread quick2pass which is the encoder front end i wrote which supports doing a compressibility check unfortunatly i dont currently have time to update it so it doesnt work with the current builds it should work with builds before interlacing and mv hint files were added. When i have some free time ill update to support the current codec versions.

Just run your first pass in xvid, get the stats file and load it in Gnot, it works exactly as it works for nandub.

ive updated my encoding app to this todays cvs code it now an all in one .ac3/.d2v to .ogm(xvid/vorbis (also does AAC and AC3 mux ill do mp3 support later)) conversion but it leaves the avi it makes incase you prefer to produce avis instead.
