dvd2svcd supporters, please read :)

You can say whatever about dvd2svcd (the program, not me ;)) but have you ever seen a freeware program with so many active and responsive supporters (yeah, those guys who answers your questions).

I think we should all make a World Wide Wave for them ;)

I for one would like to thank them all deeply, if it weren't for them I wouldn't have time to program anymore. So from me to everybody who has tried to help others, thank you :)

Most mods usually are thought of as bad cops and to watch out for but the dvd2svcd mods are kinda like the cops who hand out tickets to movie theaters for free.

I own hundreds of DVD's and often thought about how cool it would be to back them up on SVCD... but I'm a total SVCD newbie and I used to cringe about what a painfully complex procedure this all must be - the right programs, the right settings, all the tinkering and experimenting to get good results...

Then I found DVD2SVCD, and on the very first try my result was perfect. After that, I resorted to this forum and several guides to find out how everything worked "under the hood".

I praise DVD2SVCD because the whole thing is perfectly put together to work with the click of ONE BUTTON - a newbie godsend. Thanks to DVD2SVCD for this excellent project and all the veterans here for quick answers to any questions I've had.

After all, when you were just a kid and got behind the wheel of your dad's car for the first time - did you HAVE to know what the intake manifold was and what it's function was? (do you now??) :)

I'll be having fun with these program since almost the begining, i see the transition from Beethoven to Mozart, the arrive and depart of DDog, the new forum of DOOM9, and the welcome to chainsaw135, gerti67, markrb, ScooterMyth, DSPGuru and many others.

I ocassionaly write a post, but i almost read everything, i have learn tons of things from all of you, i can remeber a post from DDog about temporal smoother, the incredible search of the mysterious CCE crash, the free pies reflection, the DVD2SVCD temperament crash and rise, almost a year of fun and learn.

So for al of these and more to come

This sounds like a good place for us all to pause and reflect on whether we have made a donation to DVD2SVCD, no matter how small. If we have not provided a donation for the countless hours of work, perhaps the reflection should be about ourselves?

Now, is there a KISS method to make a donation? A mailing address would be great to send a MO or similar. Hey, It'll get you a pizza and drinks....

I don't know how things are where you live but here in the states, one can usually remain generally anonymous using a post office box and any sort of name.
