How extract scenes from VOB

I would like to keep some particular scenes of
various movies and then create a DVD with Maestro to
browse them to analize and study.
How to extract a scene (fixing an In/Out point) from
a vob (audio+video) ready for authoring?
I don't need a frame precision.

Well, I don't know about scene, but you can do it easy by chapter.
The easiest way is DVD2SVCD where you can select the chapter you want to rip, (or VSTRIP). VOB are created with only the chapter you have choosen.

Smartripper is supposed to do this as well, or Vobrator.

I do copy the Movie to Harddisk and use VStrip with .lst file, demux and split at Cell ID (the chapterpoints), this never fails.
