When the following line is used at Donald Graft's website does this mean that I do not have to load it through VDUB to make this filter work or do I still still need to use VDUB?
I've also modified Avery Lee's popular WarpSharp filter to work when imported into Avisynth:
Can I just import it directly into Avisynth?
I am looking for a sharpening filter that will run without VDUB or the need to convert to RGB that is more stable then the native Avisynth's Sharpen filter.
Thanks,
Mark

You can import that filter as a VDub filter (LoadVirtualDubPlugin). Therefore you need to convert to RGB. It's just modified to work with avisynth ( the original had an unsupported function in avisynth ).

No, it means that you don't have to use VDUB.

Yes you can make a script for that, but that is already done for you. Go to Donald Graft's website --> hosted --> VirtualDub Filters Import File

But, I'm not sure if you can use VD_WarpSharp without converting to RGB first. Let me know if that is indeed the case.

Thanks for the clarification. I was hoping there was no need for Vdub at all since if you use VDUB you need to convert to RGB.
