Disney's Atlantis

Okay, I'm having major problems with this one. I used DVDDecrypter to copy all files to my HD. Then I used IFOEdit .90 to remove the extra sound track and the extra subtitle track. I stripped everything down nice and neat and previewed it in the ifoedit dvdplayer. Then I check the Video_TS.ifo in PowerDVD 4.0 and it worked great. I put it into my set top player and the video is perfect but the sound is VERY VERY soft. My reciever detects a DD 5.1 track so it's there but it's way soft. On my PC it plays very loud. What's wrong?

maybe your reciver or dvd player has a weak signal for audio...could be going bad...check your optical cable...i don't think it's the dvd :D

Every other DVD I've ripped in the last few days has perfect DTS and DD 5.1 audio. Plus all my originals work 100%.

it's wierd for you did not demux/remux or reencode anything.
so your streams remained un altered, and you should not have any difference.
maybe it has to do your media quality ?

i know that i have to pump up the volume on all my dts original dvd's.
dts on my setop is always softer than the 5.1 stream.

I use all the same media and the 3 movies I did after atlantis all worked great. I check all of the audio lines in the ifo files and they all seem to be correct, set to 6 channel digital. I'm going to try the full screen version (on same disc) and see if that makes any difference. I'm completely baffled because every other movies work 100% perfect.

what type of setop player do you have..?

It's a Toshiba 2800, new model. It plays all my other DVD-R's about 20 so far with no problems at all. No breaking up, no pixels. Everything has worked great except for Atlantis. If there's a DD 2.0 soundtrack on there I'm going to try that.

Hmmm not sure I did it as well and no luck it acts like it is going to play and just sits there I have a sony dvp s530d and most of the rest of my movies work I had a few wierd things happen because of rempeg2 but that should not have mattered on Atlantis because i didn't remux it.. I kept the dts and no menu... but it didn't work so not sure what's up because i have had good luck with that process

I never re-encode the movies, if it won't fit I don't copy it. I used the same process I always use, that's what is so confusing. The video plays perfect and all of the chapter work fine all the way to the end. The sound is just messed up. Maybe Derrow can look at the ifo file is see that something is wrong.
