View Full Version : Feature request, though only wistfully

I've recently been getting to grips with a tool I wish I'd discovered ages ago (doing all this manually is a bitch ;) ). However I like my films to be cut on scene changes. I know if you rip using the internal routines that you can select the first set of chapters, encode then burn. Then repeat for the second. But it would be nice if in the selection screen you could "choose" a cd for each chapter to go on, so that the whole process would be automated, allowing a cut on a scene change. Thus the whole thing could be done in one session rather than two.
Sorry if this has already been suggested or is already a feature that I couldn't find.
Thanks again for all the great work !!!!

this will easily work in the next release 1.0.8 build 1
cutting at chapter points using batch encoding.
basically what you do is rip with internal routines and select for instance chapters 1-10 and choose 'Rip Only' then choose chapters 11-20 and rip only. Double check your batch file and let it rip.
If you are asking for precise cut scene and not chapters then that might be in the future. There was a thread about it couple months ago discussing precise cutting at user chosen frame.

That would make the perfect tool even better ;) In the past I had to do all this with Avisynth scripts and that got rather messy (decode to wav, new script, vdub to second split wav. encode video and audio and multiplex). The all in one approach would be a lot simpler. What's the ETA on the next version ??
