Cannot split SVCD-File without getting sound out of sync

Hiho Boardies!

I converted a DivX5 Movie to SVCD using TmpGenc. No Problem.

The resulting file is 1,4GB in size and video/audio sync is fine.

The problem is, that i am not able to split the mpg2-file into
two pieces without loosing audio/video synchronisation.

I used TmpgEnc and MPGVCR3.10, same result. The sound is ok for a
couple of minutes, then the "out-of-sync" becomes obvious.

Tried so many attempts...always same result.

Can you help me ?

You could try demuxing the file with tmpg, and then muxing audio and video, and cutting it using BBmpeg. It might do a better job then tmpg.
