BS player seems to freeze the frames and cause audio-video sync problems when playing divx5 avi's which are encoded thru Gknot,Vdub and nandub. What other player should I use.
And what player should I use for xvid encoded avi's.
Do i have to change the settings in zoom player or Powerdivx to play the divx5 or xvid encoded avi's.

Hi,
First: BSPlayer can play XVID (like the Sasami2k player) just fine.
But I actually had a problem with asynch XVID movies and BSPlayer - while everything went fine with WMP 6.4. This was while I was comparing DivX4 to XVID and installed/uninstaleld codecs a lot.
Finally I found out that in the "properties" menu I didn't see any DShow decoder options. No wonder - I just uninstalled all DivX codecs and the FourCC settings of the clips were set to DivX... After changing the FourCC to XVID, everything went fine.
What I want to say is:
BSPlayer seems to have problems when not finding the right DShow decoder filters.
So, please check the FourCC of the clips you're having problems with and check whether they get played with the appropriate DShow Filters. To do this, go to the "Video Info" Menu in BSPlayer. If, for example, it says "Video: XVID" and your video is actually an DivX clip you have the problem I had. Download AviC.exe in the download section - with this tool you can change the FourCC settings.
If it isn't the problem I described, I don't know how to help unsless you might want to describe the "asynch" problems with a little more detail. Uninstall all MPEG4 Codecs and try one at a time with BSPlayer, maybe it's only a DivX4/DivX5 problem - millions of possibilities.
