Robshots method on a cdr

I was wondering, since using Robshots method and cce, you can cut the size of a dvd by like half while still retaining the quality, Does ne1 know how this method could be used to fit lets say a 2cd svcd on 1 80min cdr using cce to re-encode.

It can be done easily by reducing the bitrate. But even though CCE is a really killer encoder -- pictures at that bitrate look really bad (down around 700kbs average). CDs are just too small. MPEG-4 does much better, but it won't play on a standalone DVD Player.
