I would be grateful if somebody can let me know which authoring software allows the use of .ac3 5.1 audio for DVD authoring

most I have looked at only support .ac3 2 channel
basically I want to author a DVD using an existing .m2v file and use a DD5.1 soundtrack eg. (AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -80ms.ac3)

I know scenarist is capable of doing this but it is way out of my price league.

any pointers most appreciated.
TIA

Both Spruce Up and DVD Maestro do, but spruce-tech is out of business. They are now owned by Apple now. You might look into Roxio Video pack 5 (dvd authoring software).

Also...there is a freeware ac3 time delay correction tool out there to get rid of the -80ms delay. I think its called ac3 corrector!

ReelDVD also supports AC3 5.1 as an imported asset.

Since Spruce-Teck is out of bussiness. You can still find Trialware software, then download SpruceUpKG and it will let you do everything and it will exit out of the trial mode.-I read this at a forum at digital-digest's forum.

Thanx for the pointers :)
I managed to do what I needed with Quickbuilder
Although it is limited with it's menu creation etc. the result was excellent.
