Hi, first post in this forum, right basically i've followed the guides to CCE a video stream and re-author it with Scenarist, everything fine except the subtitles, on my re-authored films the subs are cropped, ie only displays half of the line (top half)or half of the second line depending on the film, i've set the preferences as described in the guides, ie. minimum size 720 x 576, aligned horizontal centre, vertical bottom. In the positioning section chose keep original position. Selected I-Author format, everything looks fine in the preview window, and during encoding, checked the Bmp's Separatley after conversion and they look fine. Converted in Subconv to sst file, and they import in to Scenarist ok. My question is, is it a) because my subs are Pal resolution and sub conv only selects Ntsc, or is it b) a setting in scenarist that needs changing? c) something else. Any help would be deeply appreciated because this is the only thing stopping me from mastering this method.
Thanks.

I think a pal problem has been reported before.. instead of using s3conv you have to OCR subtitles and then use maestrosbt to create the bitmpas.. check the maestro guide for more info. afaik gabes is working on a bitmap subtitle extractor for vobsub but I'm not sure if it's finished already.. should be part of the subresynch application

Seem to have fixed it myself, in subrip set the minimum size to Ntsc 756 x 480 or whatever it is, now they display fine.
