First off, is there a FAQ that explains how to configure XMPEG for use with DivX 5 (standard--not the expert or adware version) 2pass?
When I try to run a DivX 2pass, I get an output file that's usually WAY less than 100MB, and when I try to play it, I get an error message about sizing. (Damnit, I deleted the bad output files so I can't duplicate the exact message.)
When I go to the initial DivX 5 config screen, I enable 2pass, 1st pass. Under Global Project Options -> General Tab, I enable "2nd Pass Enabled (for multipass Plugin)" and "2nd Pass Enabled (for DivX 4). Under second pass settings, I select the same settings as I did from the initial DivX 5 config screen.. the 2pass, 1st pass.
I've tried selecting "2pass, 1st pass" and leaving both of the second pass options UNchecked under the Global General Tab and that doesn't seem to work either. (Don't remember exactly what went wrong--I got frustrated and gave up for about a week.)
Sooo.. anyone who's got 2pass running successfully with XMPEG 4.x and DivX 5, please tell me how you've got yer XMPEG configured. Thanks!!
