hi guys,
im currently faced with a problem regarding the svcd structure on 2 films, both
are Fast Empire releases, for the purpose of this discusion i will call them A and B.
Now i had also wondered why Powerdvdxp refused to play them, it would throw up an unknown format
error, but thought no more of it as my standalone Dansai 852 played them both fine.
Then i got curious why?
My only clue is the structure both film A & B have the same and are as follows
Ext/..........MPEG2/........sEGMENT/..........SVCD/.....
Scandata......Aveq01........(empty)/..........Entries/Info/Search/Tracks
Compared with my usaul structure created with DVD2svcd and vxdbuild
Ext/..........Mpeg2/........Segment/..........SVCD/.......
Scandata......Aveq01........(empty)/..........Entries/Info/Search/Tracks/lot/psd
Now i have encountered this lack of Lot/psd before but never fully understood it.
Is it possible to incorprate this into the svcd, for example to multisession the disc, or are these files unique to every svcd?.
Short of that is there a way to extract the entire mpeg stream and recompile the svcd structure.
