View Full Version : Interlaced source, made IVTC with TMPG, what now?

Hi!

I checked my current project with DVD2AVI and it showes it to be Interlaced - therefore I selected none and not forced film, made IVTC as Doom9 suggests in his guide. My question is what now as I have now saved the TMPGEnc guide as suggested in the IVTC guide. Additionally I have skipped the rest of the procedures described in the TMPG Guide (a Purpleman, Doom9 cooperation -guide) as I do not have use for subtitles.

What I did is, I loaded the TMPG-project, chose the same exactly settings as in the guide "DVD encoding in TMPG" with the exception that the field order is now "top field first" as it showed to be the correct answer when I did the IVTC and the Inverse Telecine "User setting" -option has been selected in the advanced option. Additionally I chose "detect scene change" as I cannot load the TMPGTemplate.txt without freezing my computer.

I tried to look at earlier postings but couldn't make much use of them as many of them relate to SVCD-production and I am trying to make a DVD here.

Are the steps I made correct or what should have I changed?

Thank you for any info,

Teko
